S Chandrasekhar

S Chandrasekhar, in his 32 years of career, has a unique combination of experience in both Government and the Corporate sector. He played important roles in government and in leading private organisations; served initial 15 years as a bureaucrat in Government of India, including a stint in Singapore as a diplomat. Later, he worked for IT bigwigs like TCS, IBM and HCL. He was Principal Consultant to Ministry of External Affairs, GOI responsible for the rollout of India’s  Passport  Seva Project.  He is deeply into Information Technology and dealt with it as a procurer in Govt of India, as an OEM (IBM), as a System Integrator (TCS) and as a Vertical Delivery Head (HCL). He was Group Director Government Affairs with Microsoft India for 9 + years until end 2021. His role involved interfacing with external and internal stakeholders driving technology and public policy related initiatives for Microsoft. He is currently MD & CEO of K&S Digiprotect Pvt Ltd. As an acknowledged expert on Technology Law and Policy, he represented the industry before Government on contentious and cutting-edge regulatory issues.  A man of diverse talents, Sekhar speaks over 7 languages, has a Degree in Law, an Engineering Degree from Birla Institute of Technology, a PG Diploma in Cyber Law, a PG Diploma in Operations Management and an interpreter degree in Chinese. He is a Lead Auditor and Implementor- ISO-27001 (2022) and is qualified as a Lead Privacy Auditor (DSCI) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) by the International Institute of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
