Erigila Kamalakar Rao is a distinguished tech executive based in Bengaluru, India, with over 37 years of specialized experience in telecom, software quality assurance, and advanced cyber security. A graduate in Electronics and Telecom Engineering. He dedicated over 35 years to the Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate under the Government of India and serving as the Director-in-Charge of ETDC-Bengaluru. He holds an array of prestigious certifications, including Certified Software Test Manager (CSTM), Certified Software Quality Professional (CSQP), and Lead Auditor credentials for ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and MeitY Cloud Service Provider (CSP) audits.
Mr. Rao specializes in software quality and security testing, application security, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), and cyber security product evaluation. Throughout his prolific career, he pioneered the establishment of ETDC’s Software Testing, Common Criteria, and Biometric Device Test Laboratories. He has successfully spearheaded mission-critical national compliance audits and evaluations, including the Income Tax Department’s Central Processing Centre (CPC), complex defence systems for DRDO, and the electronic voting systems (EVM & VVPAT) for the Election Commission of India.
